About Spottydots

Welcome to kennel Spotty Dot's!

My name is My Wendel and I am a breeder of Rough Collie, Dalmatian and Alaskan Malamute. I'm 26 years old, an educated firefighter who makes a living as an instructor on Brandorama in Helsingborg. I live in Örkelljunga together with my husband, our five dogs and three Icelandic horses. We've choosen to breed three different kinds of breeds because of the similar nature of the breeds. The Rough Collie originates from cattle herding, Dalmatians have a history of running beside the carriage and guarding the luggage at night in the stables. Finally, the Alaskan Malamute, which is the largest of the polar dog breeds and a good dog sled team member. Our dogs belong to the very active kind and they need to be stimulated both physically and mentally on a daily basis.

I'm a very active person who enjoys being outdoors and it's a natural part of my daily routine to activate my dogs. I also like to compete with my dogs and qualify them for different dog shows around the country. Our future goal is to build on our national qualifications and earn international ones. As a breeder it's my responsibility to care for the development of my dogs. The main goal with our breeding is dogs with a good mental health but we also concentrate on a good exterior standard for each breed. This is the reason why we put our dogs through breed specific tests. Such as a mentality test, x-ray of the hips and elbows, looking for different eye diseases, BEAR-test and so on. It should feel safe to buy a dog from us at kennel Spotty Dot's.

Dog breeding is one of the best and most fun jobs available, it's an incredible rewarding feeling to be able to contribute to the race. Because that's really what's breeding is about, making a contribution to the race. The development of the race should always go forward, which is why it's important to do thorough tests on the dogs used for breeding. I'm also a representant in the race club for the Alaskan Malamute were I'm part in both the breeding council and the exhibition commitée. If you have any questions please get in touch.

When you buy a puppy from us you are guaranteed a puppy that has been vaccinated, ID-tagged, registered in SKK, threated with worm preventive products and examinated by a vet. You will also get a folder with information about the puppy and it's development from birth to adult. Our goul is to give not just the puppy but also the buyer the right conditions for a long and giving co-operation and relationship. We would like all buyers to perform x-ray scans of the hips on the dogs bought for statistics use. We care for the race and it's development, we have the dog as our focus here on kennel Spotty Dot's!

If you are interested and think that this is a good concept of dog breeding, then you are more than welcome to get in touch with us.

Best regards,
My
